This report provides analysis of the negotiating text from one of the IGC talks at WIPO, from a biotech innovator perspective (whether agricultural or health biotech). The report was published by Innovation Council just prior to the WIPO Diplomatic Conference, where this text was modified then transformed into a treaty. The treaty creates an international patent disclosure requirement for genetic resources and traditional knowledge associated with the genetic resources.
